Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. General Policy
At Maedo, we offer a subscription-based service. Charges are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
Generally, **all payments are non-refundable** and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods. We offer a transparent service where you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
2. Cancellation Process
You are solely responsible for properly canceling your account. An email or phone request to cancel your account is not considered cancellation. You can cancel your account at any time by:
- Logging into your account.
- Navigating to the Settings or Billing page.
- Clicking the "Cancel Subscription" option.
Effect of Cancellation: If you cancel the Service before the end of your current paid up month, your cancellation will take effect immediately, but you will retain access until the end of the billing cycle. You will not be charged again.
3. Exceptions for Refunds
While our general policy is "no refunds," we review requests on a case-by-case basis. We are more likely to grant a refund if:
- There was a technical error on our side that resulted in a duplicate charge.
- You upgraded annually by mistake and contacted us within 24 hours.
- The Service was significantly unavailable (breach of SLA) for an extended period.
Refunds are **not** granted for "change of mind," unused features, or forgetting to cancel your subscription before the renewal date.
4. Chargebacks and Disputes
We take payment disputes seriously. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your credit card provider or bank without first contacting us to resolve the issue:
- Your account will be immediately suspended or terminated.
- We will submit evidence of your usage and agreement to these terms to dispute the chargeback.
- You may be barred from using Maedo services in the future.
Please contact hello@maedo.com before disputing a charge. We are reasonable people and will work with you.
5. Processing of Refunds
If a refund is approved, it will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
Timing: Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank's processing times.
